Following Jesus’ Example: Why Praying the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary is Important for Catholics

Published on

The luminous mysteries of the rosary are a relatively new addition, introduced by Pope St. John Paul II in 2002. These mysteries focus on the public ministry of Jesus, including His baptism, His first miracle at the wedding in Cana, His proclamation of the Kingdom of God, His Transfiguration, and the institution of the Eucharist.

By meditating on the luminous mysteries, we can gain a deeper appreciation for the ways in which Jesus revealed Himself and His mission to the world. These mysteries remind us that Jesus came not only to save us but also to teach us how to live as His disciples.
