3 Reasons You Should Love St Peter’s Basketball

The St Peter’s Basketball team has taken the country by storm. This past weekend, the underdogs beat Blue Blood Kentucky and 30-win Murray State to make an improbable run into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

3 Reasons To Cheer For St Peter’s

1)They Do A Lot With A Little:

We have all heard how little the budget St Peter’s has, especially compared to the University of Kentucky. It’s such a good reminder that in our lives, we sometimes have a lot to work with, and sometimes have a little. But, that shouldn’t affect how we approach the day. We need PASSION to follow God, and living that out requires us to BRING it, day in and day out.

2) The Coach Is An Amazing Leader:

Shaheen Holloway has shown what it means to be a Leader. Leadership is about serving those around us, and bringing out the best in everyone. Shaheen has proven that at your best moments, humility is key, and servant leadership is truly where everyone can thrive.

3) They Play Exactly Like the Actual St Peter:

Tough, scrappy, hard nosed, and un-afraid. Yup, that’s our first Pope and overall Legend: St Peter! The same adjectives could be used to describe America’s favorite new cinderella- The St Peter’s Peacocks. Everyone loves to see teams play hard, and this team plays with BIG TIME passion. There is a part of me that believes St Peter is up in Heaven, being like, “Ok, this team is dope, and they have an awesome name”! I can see St Peter walking around in Peacock gear, and just reminding everyone in EHaven what time the next game is, “Friday, 7:30. Friday next game. Hey you, what are you doing Friday?”

The tournament is not done, so it will be exciting to see how far this Cinderella can go. One thing is for sure, St Peter is going to have a lot of bragging rights in Heaven.

I want to use New Media to spread the faith, build up creators, and uphold family life. Most of all, I want to live the Adventure with Jesus driving the Car!
